Lawrence impressive in qualifying

Randburg domiciled Kyle Lawrence put in a superb performance
in today’s qualifying session to post the second
fastest time in the DD2 class.
Further back, George dos Ramos was unhappy with the performance
of his motor and only managed 43rd of the 72 entrants.
David Perel put in a workmanlike performance in the Senior
Max class as he ended up 19th fastest while Zimbabwean
Gerard Peters could only set the 62nd fastest time after
missing yesterday’s practice sessions while he went
for medical tests after fainting in the paddock.
In the Junior Max field Andrew Gatland showed class as
he was 18th with Caleb Williams 23rd and Zimbabwe’s
Chris Bluett put in a creditable performance to end the
session 46th.
