Exciting changes planned for Zwartkops kart circuit
13.11.2007
Bridgestone Zwartkops International
Kart Raceway will receive a face lift starting this December.
The growing interest in corporate events has limited the
practice of karters and super motard competitors alike.
Additions to the circuit will accommodate corporate events
and racing practice at the same time. The practice circuit
will be a challenging 600m course perfect for setting
up karts for racing conditions. The corporate circuit
will be a shorter 400m course with interesting features
including a banked corner. A system of movable barriers
will allow rapid change of circuit layout allowing use
of the full 1000m circuit for racing and practice.
Part of the project will be the construction of a corporate
entertainment facility which will double up as a club
house. The building will be situated at turn 1 and will
house a kart show room and workshop for Ed Murray Racing
at ground level, club house/corporate facility on the
first floor and an even more stunning view of the circuit
from the upper viewing deck. Co-owners of the circuit
Peter du Toit and Ed Murray are very excited about this
new development and believe that this will greatly enhance
the enjoyment of karting at Zwartkops.
Max Challenge Promotions will manage the circuit and endevour
to offer a friendly and efficient service. All enquiries
regarding the kart circuit or corporate karting at Zwartkops
should be directed to Jeff van Roon on 012 3740129 or
0829606976. Kart.co.za will continue to advertise bookings
and events.
