THE FASTEST TYRE IN KARTING

On Sunday 27 August 2007 Ralph Odendaal
fitted a used set of Bridgestone YGK to his race winning
ROTAX Max Challenge CRG and immediately set a time around
Zwartkops not seen before by any Super Rok, passing one
competitor after the other. The shock of all Rok and ROTAX
competitors present was evident. Later in the day he fitted
these now very used Bridgestone tyres to his DD2 and went
straight into steady 42 second laps. Steve Wicks, Hendrik
Verwoerd and others would be well advised to change the
current catch phrase "the fastest class in karting"
to "the class on the fastest tyres" so as not
to confuse spectators in 2008! Good news for karting,
all classes will run on Bridgestone tyres in 2008.
