Exciting Series Format for 2008
07.01.2008
BRP ROTAX unveiled their new ROTAX Max Challenge Logo
at the Grand Finals in Al-Ain, UAE in early December.
The South African ROTAX Max Challenge (SARMC) will also
take on a new look for the 2008 season.
The SARMC will now determine the National Champions in
Mini Max, Junior Max, Max Challenge and DD2. In addition
to the National titles, the winners and runners-up in
Junior Max and Max Challenge will qualify for the well
sponsored drives to the Grand Final at the end of 2008.
The winner of the DD2 class and the top over 32 driver
will also represent South Africa at this event.
The Series will consist of four SARMC races in your region
at regional championship races, three open regional races
( races in other regions where you can score points for
the series) and the SARMC National Final. The local races
will run as normal regional race days, with one pre-final
and one final counting per event. The Open Regional events
will be double header events with two pre-finals and two
finals. Your best six pre finals and six finals will be
added together, divided by 6 and carried to the National
Final at Zwartkops Raceway on 4 October 2008. Subject
to MSA's approval.
